A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Lorenz Paullin putting the lead up to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Grilled decided to play a more defensive game at this point. Quah Han Kok increased Grilled's lead to 5 - 0, putting a header away on a hooked ball from the right. Herron claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
