Grilled 5 - 0 BravoRavo

ather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 86923. Gibril Chaouche was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jørn Kirkholt and Cãtãlin Marcu. Grilled tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players had been chosen: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Kek-Tjiang, Talib, Bona - Paullin, Han Kok, Jie Siong, Spirig, van Liere - Simon.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for BravoRavo. The following players had been chosen: Thye-Loy - Kum Yi, bin Awang, Meng Yeow - bin Mohamad Nawi, bin Rashid, bin Abd Hamid, bin Lamin, Guo - Abdullah, Ko-yang.

BravoRavo clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. Grilled's Dani Spirig showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 2 minutes. Unfortunately, Hidde van Liere was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish. Some beautiful plays on the left side of the field resulted in a goal after 13 minutes by Nawaz Talib for Grilled, putting them ahead 1 - 0. The bicycle kick from Hidde van Liere would have been the Goal of the Year for Grilled, had it not hit the post. Grilled's Dimitri Simon left the field after 33 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was Ulf Hjortlind. Grilled's Quah Han Kok saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 39 minutes. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 70 percent of possession.

Grilled's Ulf Hjortlind swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. After 64 minutes, Grilled's Sylweriusz Zywczyn found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 2 - 0. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when Ulf Hjortlind cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Grilled were given a penalty 81 minutes into the match - neatly put away by Sylweriusz Zywczyn. 4 - 0 for the home side. Confident in their lead, Grilled decided to play a more defensive game at this point. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Grilled's lead to 5 - 0 as Fabian Bona finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 75 percent of possession.

Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman performed admirably for Grilled. Ulf Hjortlind was a disappointment, however. BravoRavo's top performer was clearly Musa bin Rashid. On the other hand, Aznan Abdullah's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 0.
