Grilled 7 - 1 Alemannia
irly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 2022 to The Cooking Pot.
Robert ''Knöta'' Svensson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Nicolaas Tinbergen and
Ullrich Spinner. Grilled started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Bao-Tam - Alcántara, Zywczyn, Fredgård - Chuan Jing, Jie Siong, Abd Hamid, Kek-Tjiang, Swee Pheng - Ødegaard, Hjortlind.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Alemannia. Lineup: Rippstein - Grålund, Peszeni, Winkelhagen - Winkelhagen, Mercandelli, Kutz, Schmidbaur, Mikolajūnaitis - Quirin, Schletter.
Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
Ulf Hjortlind, but the Grilled player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Ulf Hjortlind squirmed himself through their central defence after 26 minutes, bringing the lead to 2 - 0. Confident in their lead, Grilled decided to play a more defensive game at this point.
Simon Schmidbaur of Alemannia was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. After 29 minutes,
Allan Ødegaard put Grilled ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a hooked ball, the result of an effort from the right side. Alemannia's
Leif Quirin finished emphatically to make the score 3-1 after 29 minutes, after the enigmatic
Veli-Pekka Grålund pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. 32 minutes into the match
Sylweriusz Zywczyn put Grilled ahead 4 - 1 with a truly marvelous free kick. Grilled's
Anders Fredgård swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. It was 4 - 1 at the break. Grilled held the ball, with a clear 78 percent of possession.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Allan Ødegaard putting the lead up to 5 - 1. 75 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Lee Jie Siong dashed through, knocking home 6 - 1 for Grilled. Grilled solidified their lead at the 78 minute mark, as
Sylweriusz Zywczyn manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 7 - 1. With 81 minutes played,
Bukhari Abd Hamid could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
Shen Kek-Tjiang had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 83 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Shen Kek-Tjiang.
Luis Alcántara turned in a dismal performance, however. Alemannia's best player was
Česius Mikolajūnaitis.
Patrik Kutz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 7 - 1.
