Grilled 5 - 0 Apostate

ather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 96000. Guillermo Portales was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Abel Gavara and Henri Fontaine. People from all over had joined up for the derby. Grilled had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Abed-Sulaiman - Zywczyn, Fredgård, Bona - van Liere, Han Kok, Kek-Tjiang, Paullin, Spirig - Simon, Martinsson.

Apostate had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. The following players took the field: Caffrey - Kleven, Prauliņš, Cathrein - Lai Siong, Yew Lee, King Yu, bin Rashid, Hoi Chun - bin Haji Mohd Aliff, Malmsjö.

Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left Dimitri Simon completely alone with keeper Sandy Caffrey, who made a spectacular block. Ola Martinsson's name was chanted throughout the stadium after his goal up the middle after 25 minutes gave Grilled the 1 - 0 lead. Ola Martinsson could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 27 minutes. 29 minutes into the game Apostate managed a counterattack, but Tan Yew Lee took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. Cheers filled the stadium as Dani Spirig broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the 2 - 0 goal for Grilled. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 69 percent.

62 minutes into the match Sylweriusz Zywczyn put Grilled ahead 3 - 0 with a truly marvelous free kick. Tan Yew Lee of Apostate received a yellow card after 74 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased Grilled's lead to 4 - 0 as Hidde van Liere finished it off competently, firing from an acute angle. The structure of the game started to change as Grilled decided to pull back and meet their opponents in their own half. Grilled solidified their lead at the 81 minute mark, as Quah Han Kok manoeuvered the ball through the opposing central defence and finished for 5 - 0. 82 minutes in, Apostate's Thomas Kleven received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Grilled claimed to be the more dominant force in the game, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Ahmed Abed-Sulaiman. Fabian Bona was a disappointment, however. Primo Cathrein performed admirably for Apostate. Quan Hoi Chun on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
