Yes He Did
Farmer Bunnies officially inducted youth trainee
Sawyer Won into the senior squad today, about a fortnight after the 17 year-old's graduation from the Rancher Rabbits academy. Won had not been one of the most highly-regarded players there, as he readily admitted himself, but his mastery of the basics - and quite remarkable speed at full flow - got him a look in.
Won was over the moon at being selected. "Honestly, I never imagined that I would get the call up. But now that it has happened, I will give it my all!"
Buns head coach
Vishnu Tallapaka revealed that Won's inclusion would likely be part of the club's rebuilding process, with a number of academy prospects such as Masato Kitano, Siddhesh Roy, Gary Johnson and Ghaffur Ramzi already being tapped up. "We have an excellent crop coming up in the academy, so it was a natural option." the former Bunnies star said.
He did have one question, though. "How does a teenager grow such a magnificent beard?"
