Grilled Birds youth winger Khoo Woon Leng was handed the Number Thirteen shirt at French VI.168 club US Lieusaint, after his free transfer there on the same day as 18 year-old local Barnaba Ruvo. Adept with both feet, Khoo had been recognized as one of the Chicken Wings' top wide prospects ever since he was recommended by scout Mok Feng De, and he would attract fair interest upon nearing professional eligibility.
Mok wished Woon Leng good luck, with a last piece of advice to stay humble and focused. "He's got the potential, and a quite rare willingness to help out at the back." the scout said. "And luckily for him, he looks good in navy too!"
