4061 spectators arrived at The Cooking Pot, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Robert Metzsch was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sancho Rita and Chema Uceda. Grilled's starters: Mohd Ismail - Hutter, Pallas - 田宮 (Tamiya), El Khateeb, Andrović, El Khateeb, Trindade - Teck Fu, Khairul, Kwang Tse.

Namaste's lineup was: Eaton - Jha, Jha - Khangulidze, Inda, Moenne, Nadiryan, Sonneville - Karki, Malla, Syangatan.

2-5-3 was the choice of the day for both coaches. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their magical level with that tactic. After 13 minutes, 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Grilled the lead. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Cheers filled the stadium as Chia Kwang Tse broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Grilled. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Mohd Marzuki Khairul increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Hwang Teck Fu should probably have put his team up another goal after 26 minutes after breaking through the middle, but some great goalkeeping by Mikey Eaton kept the visitors in the game. 3 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Dahan Bok came on for Khairil Anwar Hashim Mohd Ismail. A great save by keeper Mikey Eaton after 66 minutes kept the visitors in the game after Mohd Marzuki Khairul struck from the left with a real cannonball. The visitors replied 73 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 3 - 1, as Sanjay Karki dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. With 75 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Paulino Trindade, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The suddenness of the Grilled's Damian Hutter's pass to 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) after 77 minutes caught the opposition wrong-footed, and they could only watch as the ball sailed home for 5 - 1. With 81 minutes showing on the scoreboard clock, Namaste showed some good skill and were able to reduce the score to 5 - 2 when Nir Malla got past the home side's central defenders right in front of the goal. As the 88 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Darko 'Donnie' Andrović reluctantly made way for Chan Ze Han" class="homeplayer">Chan Ze Han on the pitch. Chan Ze Han" class="homeplayer">Chan Ze Han became the new Grilled captain. After 88 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Paulino Trindade off the field. Lim An Keng took his place. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya)'s curling free kick almost found the goal for Grilled, but the visitors' keeper somehow managed to get ahold of it. The match ends 5 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

Grilled's top performer was clearly Mohd Marzuki Khairul. Namaste's best player was Nicolás Patricio Inda.
