Pandit Passes
Grilled International academy graduate Siddid Pandit set off on his road to become a professional footballer this afternoon, as Czech V.87 team FC Stodulky took him on a free transfer. The 17 year-old fullback had won plaudits for his assured dribbling down the wings in his time with the Busy Bees, which attracted Stodulky's young head coach Ervín Lysák to take a chance on him.
Bees scout Daud bin Radiman further pointed to Pandit's hat-trick in his U19 league against R. Leuven F.C.'s youth side a couple of months back, if with a penalty and a free-kick entering the mix. "That boy has skills coming out of his ears." Daud grinned. "He's one of our biggest draws at the Hive, and plenty of us are sad to see him go."
FC Stodulky are definitely no strangers to wheeling and dealing, having just bought Romanian midfielder Călin Gurgui for a shade shy of S$3.3 million, about a fortnight ago. If all goes well, Pandit should be well-placed to take the place of the departed Alexandre José Costa in due time, with the likes of Hynek Malý and Danilo Serra his main competition for now.
