Tian Yonghang snuck in a low-profile free transfer out of the blue, as he brought 39 year-old Finnish journeyman Markus Pallas to Grilled Birds, from Latvian IV.26 side AFC Diamond dogs. This would be Pallas' sixth move in a long career, with his prime largely spent in Basel, Switzerland with now-defunct H.A.L league club Weidhöflers Schnappstruppe.

The former Diamond Dog Number 95 will not be expected to feature much, of course, as Tian described his role at the Birds being more of mentorship. "Markus got recommended by a few friends in the business, he wanted a change of environment - and it was not like he was asking for much either, so, why not?"
