Grilled 5 - 2 Queenstown

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 79706 had shown up at The Cooking Pot for the match. Xherdan von Itzenplitz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Laurin Fox and Dawood Al-Iriyani. The following players had been chosen by Grilled: Germanakos - Himadas, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Teck Fu, Keng Chuan, Kwang Tse, Trindade - Khairul, Thach, An Keng.

Queenstown's lineup was: Santirocchi - Rotenberg, Fernández del Cerro - Jie, Jing Wee, Aron, Razin Abdul Rafi, Ho Jie - M'Madi, Boğ, Khade.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 2-5-3 formation. Queenstown seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) (27) level with that tactic. Grilled fans held their breath as Chia Kwang Tse scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 1 - 0! Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when Mohd Marzuki Khairul broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. After 23 minutes, Combo M'Madi chose the right corner while taking his penalty, humiliating the home keeper, who dived in the wrong direction. The goal reduced the home lead to 2 - 1. 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

After 67 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after Adem Boğ made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2. Making his way up the middle 73 minutes into the match, Chad Thach almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Romano Santirocchi blocked it to keep the score level. After 80 minutes, Mohd Marzuki Khairul came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Grilled the lead. Grilled's Paulino Trindade placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but Lim An Keng couldn't finish. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Chad Thach squirmed through their central defence after 84 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 2. Lim An Keng increased the lead for Grilled to 5 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Dimitris Germanakos made a brilliant save 86 minutes into the match, blocking a rocket of a shot from Combo M'Madi on the right hand side. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Hwang Teck Fu gave Gandhik Chitre a quick hug as he left the field. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Atang Mangoye came on for Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Paulino Trindade off the field. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) took his place. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 5 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

Most important Grilled player was Mohd Marzuki Khairul. On the other hand, Atang Mangoye's play was disheartening. Queenstown's top performer was clearly Adem Boğ. Hernán Fernández del Cerro turned in a dismal performance, however.
