Xin Su Wooed
Chicken Wings academy graduate Woo Xin Su spent his eighteenth birthday sending his training tapes out, and his efforts would be rewarded with a call from newly-assembled Slovakian V.182 club Chlapci z Nižnej. A flight out and meet with head coach Pavol Značko later, and Woo was in!
The freshly-minted Number 98 was remembered as something of an odd fit by Wings scout Tham Beng Li. "He was so smooth on the ball, but also so conservative in his approach, opting for the safe sideways or backwards pass nine times out of ten." Tham recalled. "It's not a habit you see often in a kid. But it worked for him."
