Aamer Al-Harbien was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Astan Chiavazzo and Manoel Jorge Imbassahy. The following players took the field for Grilled: Law - Hutter, 其材 (Qicai) - Trindade, Chitre, Keng Chuan, An Keng, 田宮 (Tamiya) - Kwang Tse, Khairul, Teck Fu.

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team Gorredijkster Eagles went for 3-5-2 while Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Gorredijkster mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their world class (13) level with that tactic. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Grilled's Paulino Trindade after 17 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 0 - 1 lead. Given a free kick close to the byline, Grilled tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Gandhik Chitre slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 2, 20 minutes into the game. Lim An Keng of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 3 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya). After 31 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Hwang Teck Fu a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 4. 35 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 4. Grilled had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

With the scoreboard showing that 47 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Chia Kwang Tse came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Mohd Marzuki Khairul increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 5. After the ball was lifted in from the left, Mohd Marzuki Khairul was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 60 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration. Mihai Tarcău got a fingertip on Hwang Teck Fu's shot from the left 73 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Chan Ze Han came on for Aw Keng Chuan. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Damian Hutter reluctantly made way for Radovan Jaška on the pitch. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 90 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 6. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Gorredijkster's Martin Chroustovský was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 91 minutes. The match ends 0 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

Gorredijkster's top performer was clearly Thomas Stenstad. On the other hand, Gaston Dufner's play was disheartening. Chia Kwang Tse performed admirably for Grilled. Radovan Jaška turned in a dismal performance, however.
