3842 fans braved the pouring rain at FC Kwa Masha Arena. Ofentse Mogorosi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Eugen Tărîţă and Jan-Paul Wouwermans. The wet pitch made it difficult for technical or quick players to stand out. For once, the players relying on physical strength gained the upper hand. As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Given a free kick close to the byline, Grilled tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let Chad Thach slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 0 - 1, 3 minutes into the game. Lim An Keng received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 8 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. Some fine movement on the left led to a Grilled goal after 9 minutes, making it 0 - 3. Mohd Marzuki Khairul was noted down as the scorer. Masha's Alex Nkumba got himself booked for a foul. After 20 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Brian 'Was Born' Reddy to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 4. After 31 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chad Thach who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 5. 0 - 5 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 82 percent of possession.

47 minutes into the match, Lim An Keng came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. After 53 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohd Marzuki Khairul a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 6. After 64 minutes, Grilled's Gandhik Chitre burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 7. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Elisha Masilingi from Masha a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Grilled increased their lead after 75 minutes when Chia Kwang Tse broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Aw Keng Chuan gave Teo Chuan Yong a quick hug as he left the field. As Aw Keng Chuan exited the field, Teo Chuan Yong volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) came on for Paulino Trindade. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) off the field. Radovan Jaška took his place. Teo Chuan Yong was handed the Grilled captain's armband. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! 90 minutes into the game, Grilled were awarded a penalty and Teo Chuan Yong was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 9 rolling the ball in by the right post. The match ends 0 - 9. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 84 percent of possession.

Duje Tudorović performed admirably for Masha. Elisha Masilingi was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was Lim An Keng. However, Radovan Jaška made a disastrous appearance.
