Trektemov 0 - 3 Grilled
The 5091 spectators at
Freakshow Flash were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Qasim Musa Skojha was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Matej Kozak and
Stephan Hofmann-Schlickenrade. It was a very hot day and some players suffered from this, especially those relying on tough physical play or a lot of fast runs. For the technical ones, on the other hand, this was ideal conditions. The following players had been chosen by Trektemov:
Zafferani -
Rawis,
Galaxis,
Fathy,
Budhaksetri,
Barquín -
Hanganu,
Ribeiro,
Justiniano -
Tingleff,
Formentin.
Grilled's starters:
Law -
Hutter,
El Khateeb -
Trindade,
Khairul,
Kwang Tse,
An Keng,
田宮 (Tamiya) -
Thach,

Teck Fu.
Trektemov Tjolinge started the game in a 5-3-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Trektemov immediately set off using their outstanding (10) skill at pressing their opponents. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+5) (25) level with that tactic. Grilled took the lead after
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) curved a free kick into the net. 0 - 1 With 28 minutes played,
Gandhik Chitre nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Trektemov pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. The pressing tactics used by Trektemov were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. It was 0 - 1 at the break. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 63 percent.
Still ahead in the game after 46 minutes, Grilled made some tactical adjustments.
Mohd Marzuki Khairul and
Chad Thach swapped positions. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 76 minutes, Grilled tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. With 79 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 0 - 2 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was
Lim An Keng. 83 minutes into the match,
Paulino Trindade came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. The referee signalled a penalty 84 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box.
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) knocked it home to make the score 0 - 3. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chia Kwang Tse reluctantly made way for
Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. The referee showed Trektemov's
Massimo Formentin the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Paulino Trindade managed to make an excellent pass from the wing, but
Gandhik Chitre was not as skillful and couldn't finish it off. The home crowd cheered when, after 87 minutes,
Teo Chuan Yong's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. After 89 minutes, the Trektemov coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Hamilton Ribeiro off the field.
Björn Serena took his place. 89 minutes into the game, Trektemov wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Siu Justiniano gave
Nicholas Tabula a quick hug as he left the field. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 3. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 64 percent of the ball.
Most important Trektemov player was
Sarhaan Fathy.
Fabio Zafferani on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Lim An Keng performed admirably for Grilled. However,
Mohsen El Khateeb made a disastrous appearance.
