Five seasons after departing Grilled International for S$13 million, Hardi bin Besar would return for one last run with his beloved boyhood club, after stops in Italy and then Germany. Seventh divisioners FC Altes Express had gotten just over two years out of Hardi, and are in a good position for promotion after a run of eleven matches undefeated. The Brunei star will not be part of it, however, as he departs for home on a S$2.2 million deal today.

The locked-on Hall of Famer will adopt the Number Eighteen shirt in his second run with International, and is professing to take each day as it comes. "Still playing professional football at this age is a blessing, and I just want to help in any way I can."
