Eurasian lad Mark Matthews drew obvious comparisms to former Grilled star Asher Stanton when he joined the youth academy, and his assured displays in midfield did nothing to dispel the resemblance.

Unlike the famous Number 6, Matthews would not have a long career with Grilled, as the club decided that they could not afford to rely on raw teenagers in the critical midfield area in the second division. Matthews took it well, and made the move to Germany to continue his development.
