Grilled didn't stop for a breather as they conquered Division Three in fine style. They only encountered serious
opposition in the form of winger trainer All The King's Men, who inflicted Grilled's only loss of the season on their
Marine Parade Field. Shu Jui-Loy knocked in the winner in the 88th minute after Siu-Cheung had equalised seconds ago.
All The King's Men ran into trouble and were disbanded by the time Grilled hosted them late-season, but by then Grilled
had tamed the league. Ma Dai-Lin grew into his niche on the right wing, and enjoyed the freedom which came with youth blossoming in the middle.
Incredibly, Grilled were embroiled in a coaching fiasco in the first half of the season, as Shung-Tat was shockingly
replaced by caretaker 43 year-old Qin Kyu-Jin, who himself lasted only four games before the attacking-minded Li Kum-Seng
guided the Birds to promotion.
Soon to be coach, Alcántara.
No major changes were made to the well-coordinated squad, with mostly bit-part players coming and leaving. Argentinean fullback Luis Alcántara and Canadian striker Joe Stern were prominent late acquisitions, while German Tim Blissenbach was the only notable addition to the youth side.
Grilled's Cup campaign was a letdown after the adventures of the previous season, as they tumbled out rather unluckily on penalties in a derby with fate_spy in the fifth round.
