Javatos 0 - 6 Grilled

4346 spectators arrived at El Fortín de los Javatos, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Antonio Lovrinov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tariqul Hayat and Juho Holstein. Javatos fielded: 斯平 (Siping) - Sezan, Schindlbeck, Nkadimeq, Rissanen, Velichkov - Córdoba, Clément, Cabañas, Isasti - Ruiz-Jarabo.

Grilled's starters: Law - Jaška, El Khateeb - Trindade, Thach, Keng Chuan, Khairul, Ferzan - Reece, La Face, Chitre.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 5-4-1 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-5-3. Grilled took a titanic (15) creative approach on the field. Evandro La Face has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 3 minutes into the match. The guests took the lead 12 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Gandhik Chitre scoring to make it 0 - 1. With the scoreboard showing that 15 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Evandro La Face came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Radovan Jaška received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 24 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 28 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohsen El Khateeb a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3. 谭 (Tan) 斯平 (Siping) got a fingertip on Evandro La Face's shot from the left 31 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 3. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 82 percent of possession.

As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Egemen Dinçer Ferzan reluctantly made way for Federico Parada on the pitch. Against a lesser team, Grilled could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 49 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Mohsen El Khateeb gave Teo Chuan Yong a quick hug as he left the field. After 78 minutes of game time, Gandhik Chitre had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but 谭 (Tan) 斯平 (Siping) was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. One of many good crosses from Paulino Trindade on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Chad Thach, who scored for Grilled. 0 - 4 Fabricius Schindlbeck would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Ezequiel Vivonis entered the game for Javatos as the match clock showed 80 minutes. As Fabricius Schindlbeck exited the field, Agostino Ruiz-Jarabo volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. After 80 minutes, Grilled's Evandro La Face burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. Teo Chuan Yong increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6. Paulino Trindade could have put his team up another goal 86 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Evandro La Face off the field. Chan Ze Han took his place. The Grilled captaincy was handed to Chan Ze Han. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 2 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 0 - 6. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 85 percent.

The most dominating Javatos player was without a doubt Ezequiel Vivonis. Loïk Clément was a disappointment, however. Most important Grilled player was Aw Keng Chuan. On the other hand, Radovan Jaška's play was disheartening.
