Kat Klawing
Duez Two
Grilled made a pilgrimage down to the holy city of Jerusalem, where they were given a hiding by Israeli side hapoel kattamon. kattamon, who play in the red and black made famous by AC Milan, even ended the match with ten men only.
The Birds were hit by two goals in the opening minutes, when flashy Portuguese midfielder Libertário Pardão found Bao-Tam out with a cheeky chip, and Tunisian counterpart Tristan Toulotte thrashing in number two in short order.
Badrul strove vainly but Grilled's midfield got overrun, and Frenchman Roger Bayle slotted in expertly from the left flank to get his head to a long cross from the other end for the third. Countryman Francis Duez, for whom such goals are his bread and butter, relied instead on his feet to extend the lead to five by half-time.
Grilled then got their act together, at least as far as defensive work was concerned, even as key winger Roger Bayle left for Victor Cattaneo. They let in another after Toulotte commanded the skies and beat even Bao-Tam to one of the many crosses that came in, before Emilio Miñarro was dismissed for a second yellow card.
That didn't turn the tide, though, and Marino Equizi, Karel Wagner and finally substitute Victor Cattaneo got on the scoresheet to end the mismatch.
