Stallions Stampede
Domínguez Destiny
Panamanian Division Two club ANTI-STALLION crushed their Grilled visitors at their El Poder Natural stadium which held over five thousand curious spectators, as their midfield proved more than a match for the Birds'.
The long-named and long-maned Andy Aguirrebengoa came out like a comet out of defence to check inside and score in the 16th minute, after Unda held the ball up on the right.
The ANTI-STALLION right flank was extra strong today, and Vahid Hubijar didn't even bother to run at Siu-Cheung, but crossed at the earliest opportunity. Homegrown talent José Guadalupe Domínguez trapped the ball beautifully with his instep, and coolly hooked it past Bao-Tam for 2-0.
Domínguez was at it again a few minutes later as Unda and Hubijar's partnership bemused all and sundry on their wing, and
Bukhari Abd Hamid decided that enough was enough and blatantly blocked the next free-kick from that area, earning himself a booking.
This was not to say that ANTI-STALLION posed a threat only on that side, and they put a curling ball through the middle that broke sweetly for Erik Hökhult. The left winger ran on as Alcántara backed away, and drove a stiff grounder into the near corner, no thanks to Bao-Tam's poor positioning.
Bao-Tam did make up for it with a reaction save from Stephan Zeller after he was sold short by his defence, but could not prevent Domínguez from celebrating a hat-trick, once more with an assist from Hubijar. The Panama forward slid belly-first into the corner flag, and was piled upon by his teammates.
Erik Hökhult then got a yellow card for yelling something at the referee, and the Birds muddled through the next forty-five minutes, suffering only a single extra goal through Zeller, as a revitalized Bao-Tam pulled some magnificent stops out of his bag.
