Grilled 2 - 0 Controlar
59599 spectators had found their way to
The Cooking Pot, despite the heavy rain.
Yannik Dall`Armi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 2-5-3 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2. Grilled had a chance to take the lead after
Chad Thach's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 10 minutes. Grilled created a good opportunity to score 13 minutes into the match when
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai)'s hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
Tong Yi Chuan of Controlar received a yellow card after 14 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 15 minutes, Grilled were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise.
Gústav Thoroddsen did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Grilled were very close to putting themselves one up after 23 minutes as
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) got through on the left. However, his concentration failed him, and he shot wide. The referee showed Grilled's
Gústav Thoroddsen the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 60 percent of the ball.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 58 minutes, Grilled tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. Grilled made it 1 - 0 as
Orest Tokarz got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
Gústav Thoroddsen who whipped a low drive in off the far post. After 72 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
Orest Tokarz might have resulted in another goal for Grilled. However,
Pedro Vasco Conceição Correia made a spectacular save. Grilled put themselves up 2 - 0 when
Gústav Thoroddsen broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
Aw Keng Chuan left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 74 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
Damian Hutter was the replacement. As
Aw Keng Chuan left the field, the coach signaled to
Joe Reece to be the new set pieces taker.
夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) could have increased the lead after 78 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Lim An Keng came on for
Mohd Marzuki Khairul. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Gústav Thoroddsen off the field.
Evandro La Face took his place. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 1 minute as stoppage time. 89 minutes in,
Pau Calleja made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but
Dimitris Germanakos refused to let the ball slip by him. The match ends 2 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
Evandro La Face performed admirably for Grilled.
Damian Hutter on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important Controlar player was
David Ramos.
Ng Yi Ping turned in a dismal performance, however.
