It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 49230 that came out to The Cooking Pot. Al·lodi Freixa was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bennedict Asiyo and Hussain Jaber Hmouz. The intense heat made it hard for players relying on strength or speed to shine. On the other hand, it provided perfect conditions for the more technical players. Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas ggttbtbyny lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. Grilled used their divine (+4) (24) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. They were singing the praises of Phua Ming Xin 2 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Grilled. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Aw Keng Chuan squirmed through their central defence after 6 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. After 7 minutes, Grilled were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Joe Reece did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Paulino Trindade after 20 minutes. After 22 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Paulino Trindade gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. It was 4 - 0 at the break. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 80 percent of possession.

The coach of Grilled was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, Damian Hutter came on for Aw Keng Chuan. With Aw Keng Chuan no longer on the pitch, Phua Ming Xin took over free kick duty. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Chiang Fu Choon got himself booked. The manager of ggttbtbyny was not happy. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. Grilled solidified their lead at the 56 minute mark, as Gústav Thoroddsen dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. Lim An Keng had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 75 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. Grilled managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when Joe Reece cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 84 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but Shankar Raikar got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Cheers filled the stadium as Paulino Trindade broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 7 - 0 to Grilled. By then Paulino Trindade had scored three goals - a hat trick! With 87 minutes played, Chad Thach of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. As the 88 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) reluctantly made way for Chan Ze Han on the pitch. Chan Ze Han became the new Grilled captain. Gústav Thoroddsen would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Evandro La Face entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 7 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 81 percent of the ball.

Most important Grilled player was Evandro La Face. Chan Ze Han was a disappointment, however. ggttbtbyny's top performer was clearly Raja Hakim Mohd Rusydi. However, Shankar Raikar made a disastrous appearance.
