Grilled 8 - 0 Odesa

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 3186. Başar Alagöz was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Alexi Grigorov and Richart Zadow. Grilled fielded: Germanakos - Hutter, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Teck Fu, Ferzan - Reece, Thoroddsen, Ming Xin.

Odesa's lineup was: Magar - Karasz, Banerjee, Kami, Bubbi - Akakpo, Dang, Uparkoti, Niţu, Quadra - Shreshta.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Odesa 1880 FC, the formation of choice was 4-5-1. Chia Kwang Tse gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 The score became 2 - 0 at 13 minutes into the game, when Grilled were given a penalty which Phua Ming Xin blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! Grilled put in a good effort on the right, but Brian 'Was Born' Reddy saw his volley fly wide of the mark 21 minutes into the game. After 24 minutes, Egemen Dinçer Ferzan put Grilled ahead 3 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 27 minutes played, Joe Reece could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. Viorel Niţu went down after twisting his right ankle after 34 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. This gave Gulshan Bista a chance to take to the field instead. Bikash Uparkoti was handed the Odesa captain's armband. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Grilled had most of the ball, with 81 percent of possession.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Brian 'Was Born' Reddy after 47 minutes. 48 minutes into the game, Odesa seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to solid (7). The Grilled free kick 62 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of Brian 'Was Born' Reddy, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 0! With 84 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 6 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Gústav Thoroddsen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Grilled's Gústav Thoroddsen increased the lead to 7 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 85 minutes. Grilled's Phua Ming Xin struck his penalty well enough to beat the goalkeeper and extend the home team's lead to 8 - 0 after 86 minutes. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Damian Hutter off the field. Ibnou Balde took his place. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 8 - 0. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.

Grilled's best player was Gústav Thoroddsen. On the other hand, Ibnou Balde's play was disheartening. Odesa's top performer was clearly Eduardo Quadra. Bikash Kami on the other hand, had a terrible day.
