Dark skies made the crowd of 89262 at The Cooking Pot a little nervous, but the rain held off. Ince Doszpoly was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Konrad Wojnicz and Volker Buchau. The following players had been chosen by Grilled: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, 其材 (Qicai) - Reddy, Thach, Kwang Tse, Khairul, Parada - Reece, Thoroddsen, La Face.

Phantasm fielded: Beng Ze - Mundra, Kong Siong, Meng Hock - Chi Wei, Ping Beng, Fadhlurrahman, Tang, Huang - Hao Heng, Zulfadhli.

Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Phantasm Hotspurs, the formation of choice was 3-5-2. Grilled used their divine (+3) (23) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. It was showtime for artist Masyhur Zulfadhli who showed off his technical mastery when he rounded 夏 (Ha) 其材 (Qicai) and finished with a goal to make the score 0 - 1. After 22 minutes of play, Mohd Marzuki Khairul evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 1 - 1. After 24 minutes, Phantasm put themselves up 1 - 2, as Tan Meng Hock finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. Evandro La Face made a superb strike after 33 minutes with a shot straight in front of the goal after a long ball through the middle, but one of the visitors' defenders got a foot in at the last second and warded it off for a corner. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 35 minutes played, Evandro La Face of Grilled made the score 2 - 2. Making his way up the middle 42 minutes into the match, Chia Kwang Tse almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert Looi Beng Ze blocked it to keep the score level. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Evandro La Face caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 43 minutes. This gave Grilled the 3 - 2 lead. 3 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Grilled's Joe Reece swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Phantasm's Masyhur Zulfadhli put the ball in the onion bag after 53 minutes to make it 3 - 3. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for Brian 'Was Born' Reddy to score after 55 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. The guests took the lead 59 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Muzaffar Fadhlurrahman scoring to make it 3 - 4. Evandro La Face would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Orest Tokarz entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 60 minutes. 63 minutes in, Grilled's Brian 'Was Born' Reddy received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Looi Beng Ze went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 64, but was able to continue the match none the less. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Chad Thach off the field. Lim An Keng took his place. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Hwang Teck Fu came on for Mohd Marzuki Khairul. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. After 89 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mak Hao Heng a chance to increase the lead for Phantasm, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 3 - 5. Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Federico Parada limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 89 minutes for his team this day. Due to this disastrous turn of events, the team now had to finish the match with a reduced lineup. The match ends 3 - 5. Grilled had most of the ball, with 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Brian 'Was Born' Reddy. On the other hand, Dimitris Germanakos's play was disheartening. Most important Phantasm player was Mak Hao Heng. However, Lee Kong Siong made a disastrous appearance.
