With 13 minutes played, Grilled's Mohd Marzuki Khairul found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. Chad Thach showed the skills that make him a real crowd pleaser as he, after 20 minutes, wove through the guests' entire central defence and put the 1 - 1 equaliser away. Dimitris Germanakos looked great 33 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Foster Ito. After 34 minutes of play, Hwang Teck Fu gave the home team a 2 - 1 lead after an attack coming in from the right. With 37 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, Ty Harada needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

Cheers filled the stadium as Egemen Dinçer Ferzan broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 1 to Grilled. Aw Keng Chuan wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 49 minutes into the game by Damian Hutter. With Aw Keng Chuan no longer on the pitch, Phua Ming Xin became the new set pieces taker. Coming in on the left, Sreejit Subramanian did everything right to get a goal for tpyers after 54 minutes, but his finishing shot was stabbed clear by the keeper. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Phua Ming Xin squirmed through their central defence after 74 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. Grilled's Damian Hutter saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 79 minutes. Grilled's Phua Ming Xin got himself booked for a foul. Grilled solidified their lead at the 82 minute mark, as Chad Thach dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 1. 84 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Damian Hutter broke through, making the score 6 - 1 for Grilled. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Ibnou Balde reluctantly made way for Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 6 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Mohd Marzuki Khairul. However, Paulino Trindade made a disastrous appearance. tpyers's top performer was clearly Derek Dizon. Kok Yi Ping turned in a dismal performance, however.
