Grilled Birds fielded a 2-5-3 lineup. For Vicious Crusade, the formation of choice was 5-3-2. Grilled took a world class (13) creative approach on the field.
Chad Thach gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
Mohsen El Khateeb increased the lead for Grilled to 2 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Ibnou Balde has acquired a talent for predicting the movements of the opposing defence over the years and this almost resulted in a goal 24 minutes into the match. With 25 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 3 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Egemen Dinçer Ferzan, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. With 27 minutes played, Grilled's
Gandhik Chitre almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
Hwang Teck Fu had a fantastic opportunity to put Grilled up another goal 39 minutes into the match after a pass through the middle set him free, but he fired just over the crossbar. After 40 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Vicious found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to inadequate (5). It was 3 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 79 percent of the ball.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Vicious was able to get his message across, and raised Vicious's organisation to solid (7). 53 minutes in,
Stanislau Liantsevich made an incredible run up the middle and nearly reduced the home side's lead, but
Cameron Law refused to let the ball slip by him. Some things can only be learned through experience, and
Mohsen El Khateeb should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting Vicious a goal with 59 minutes of the match played. After 60 minutes,
Gandhik Chitre put Grilled ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 63 minutes into the game, Vicious seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to inadequate (5). Grilled put themselves up 5 - 0 when
Egemen Dinçer Ferzan broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Grilled scored another to make it 6 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
Hwang Teck Fu after 69 minutes. Cheers filled the stadium as
Chan Ze Han broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 7 - 0 to Grilled. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Mohsen El Khateeb reluctantly made way for
Bhavya Panigrahi on the pitch. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Chan Ze Han gave
Bilal Mohammad Harun a quick hug as he left the field. The Grilled captaincy was handed to
Bilal Mohammad Harun. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Teo Chuan Yong came on for
Aw Keng Chuan. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 3 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 7 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 82 percent of the time.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Gandhik Chitre.
Radovan Jaška turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Vicious player was
Jury Kozhuh.
Alhierd Arzamasau on the other hand, had a terrible day.
