tpyers 2 - 6 Grilled

The 22584 fans in attendance at tpyers Arena! were roasting in the hot sun. Marcin Samborski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Władysław Kubański and Aiden Upfield. It was a very hot day and some players suffered from this, especially those relying on tough physical play or a lot of fast runs. For the technical ones, on the other hand, this was ideal conditions. The following players had been chosen by tpyers: Yi Ping - Sajtos, Jia Aik, Mergen, Ito - Éloy, Dizon, Kong Sze - Shi De, Yew Teck, Ho Shi.

Grilled's starters: Germanakos - Keng Chuan, Hutter - Ferzan, Thach, Khairul, An Keng, Parada - Reece, Balde, Ze Han.

tpyers entered the field in a 4-3-3 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup. tpyers clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their formidable (9) level with that tactic. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their extra-terrestrial (16) level with that tactic. They were singing the praises of Kwok Ho Shi 8 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to tpyers. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. 19 minutes into the game Grilled's Federico Parada found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. Chan Ze Han came close to putting the visiting team one up 21 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but Kok Yi Ping managed to tip the ball to a corner. Thomas Éloy was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but Kwok Ho Shi seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. The guests took the lead 30 minutes into the match, after a right-side attack resulted in Chan Ze Han scoring to make it 1 - 2. The visitors' Ibnou Balde took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 36 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Grilled. 1 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 65 percent of the ball.

As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Ibnou Balde reluctantly made way for Orest Tokarz on the pitch. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Joe Reece delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 49 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Aw Keng Chuan gave Bhavya Panigrahi a quick hug as he left the field. Damian Hutter went down in terrible pain, clutching his right ankle. He could not continue playing and had to be carried off on a stretcher after 76 minutes. Hwang Teck Fu had already been warming up, and came on for Damian Hutter. After 78 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chan Ze Han who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 4. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Joe Reece from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Foster Ito went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 80, but was able to continue the match none the less. After 81 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Mohd Marzuki Khairul a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 5. Chad Thach was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's Hwang Teck Fu managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 1 - 6 The home crowd cheered when, after 84 minutes, Chan Ze Han's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 85 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Thomas Éloy knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 2 - 6 after 86 minutes. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 2 - 6. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

tpyers's top performer was clearly Derek Dizon. However, Kok Yi Ping made a disastrous appearance. Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. Hwang Teck Fu on the other hand, had a terrible day.
