Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Mayuyu AKB48 lined up in a 4-4-2 formation. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their titanic (15) level with that tactic. The wings were the focus of most of Mayuyu's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their divine (+5) (25) level with that tactic. After a fine move down the middle
Chan Ze Han nearly gave the home side a goal after 2 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. Grilled took the lead 11 minutes in, as
Mohd Marzuki Khairul broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's
Ibnou Balde increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Grilled's
Damian Hutter showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 24 minutes. Unfortunately,
Ibnou Balde was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish. Mayuyu reduced the lead after 28 minutes to 2 - 1 as
Hunor Inczdi easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
Chan Ze Han squirmed through their central defence after 31 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 1. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 72 percent of possession.
Ibnou Balde would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Orest Tokarz entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. After 48 minutes
Hunor Inczdi seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Mayuyu making it 3 - 2. With 59 minutes played,
Asier Burboa of Mayuyu fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Chad Thach of Grilled received a yellow card after 62 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. With 71 minutes played,
Chan Ze Han could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 78 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Chan Ze Han broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Grilled. Cheers filled the stadium as
Orest Tokarz broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 2 to Grilled. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chan Ze Han reluctantly made way for
Kalki Parvathaneni on the pitch. As
Chan Ze Han left the field, the coach signaled to
Kalki Parvathaneni to be the new set pieces taker. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Kalki Parvathaneni took over the role of being the Grilled captain. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Hwang Teck Fu came on for
Aw Keng Chuan. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time.
Orest Tokarz could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 90 minutes. Players in Mayuyu heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. Mayuyu caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 92 minutes into the match.
Hunor Inczdi was able to finish off the move - 5 - 3. At that,
Hunor Inczdi was noted down for a hat trick! The match ends 5 - 3. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 72 percent of the time.
Grilled's top performer was clearly
Lim An Keng.
Hwang Teck Fu on the other hand, had a terrible day. Mayuyu's best player was
Lucas Wauquier. On the other hand,
Luis Bique's play was disheartening.
