Grilled 6 - 0 Oceans

42562 spectators came to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day. Hunter Barrow was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Petrică Dimişcă and Arturo Barreto. They fielded: Germanakos - Panigrahi, Hutter - Ferzan, Kwang Tse, Thach, An Keng, Baena - Mohammad Harun, Ze Han, Xin Seng.

The following players had been selected: Lee - Han Kian, Tze Kuan, Pin Feng - Hashim, Dasari, Hirata, Bhupathi - Wan, Shasthri, Min Ze.

Grilled Birds trundled out to the pitch in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Ocean's 1q, chose to start the game with a 3-4-3 lineup. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favor of their titanic (15) ability to attack in the middle. Enrique Baena is making an astonishing dash. The fans are chanting his name. You can hear it reverberate around the stadium. Now a manic sprint up the middle and into the box. Oh! He's thrown open the door! He's thrown open the door, shot the ball through, and slammed the door shut on Mr. Tumnus! Grilled has taken the lead 17 minutes into the match, 1 to 0. There'll be no Turkish Delight after the match for the keeper! Moey Xin Seng should probably have put his team up another goal after 24 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by Jeff Lee kept the visitors in the game. Moey Xin Seng could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 26 minutes. Liu Pin Feng was unable to continue, following a slight injury to his right knee after 27 minutes. The player that took his place was Eng Woon Xin. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Moey Xin Seng bringing the lead up to 2 - 0. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. Grilled solidified their lead at the 31 minute mark, as Bilal Mohammad Harun snaked the ball through the central line of defense and finished for 3 - 0. It was 3 - 0 at the break. Let's go to the Twittersphere to see what the fans think of the game so far! says 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Moey Xin Seng gave Kalki Parvathaneni a quick hug as he left the field. With the clock showing 60 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Bhavya Panigrahi looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Gilbert Webb, though he would have liked to continue. Chan Ze Han gave Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0 after 67 minutes, following a good exchange of passes on the right that the away team failed to deal with. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Oceans's Maheswaran Shasthri got himself booked. Cheers filled the stadium as Chan Ze Han broke through the visitors' central defense to put away the 5 - 0 goal for Grilled. Grilled's Enrique Baena saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates 77 minutes in. Grilled's Chan Ze Han swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defense were able to clear the ball. Things were going from bad to worse for the visitors. Lim An Keng was able to squirm through the central defense after 82 minutes and score, bringing the lead to 6 - 0. The fourth official announced that there would be 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 6 - 0. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 79 percent possession in this half was spot on!

Chan Ze Han performed admirably for Grilled. I can't remember Bilal Mohammad Harun ever having a worse night than he just had. The most outstanding Oceans player was without a doubt Jonny Wan. Speaking of stinking up the place, Thong Tze Kuan sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
