Grilled 2 - 0 Torpedo

3386 spectators had come to The Cooking Pot this cloudy day. Domenico Saturnino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sigfred Tgersen and Henryk Dziadek. Grilled's starters: Vadal - Mangoye, Hutter - Teck Fu, Kwang Tse, Chitre, Khairul, Baena - Parvathaneni, Chuan Yong, Velho.

The following players had been chosen by Torpedo: Davlatov - Taipale, Dubovitskiy, Mindelheim, Topin, Gatonye - Abduazimov, Niemann, Armenakyan, Martyukov, Muhamedov -.

Grilled Birds entered the field in a 2-5-3 formation. The visitors, Torpedo Moynaq, chose to start the game with a 5-5-0 lineup. 23 minutes into the game, Torpedo had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable (6). After 33 minutes, Teo Chuan Yong came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Grilled the lead. 34 minutes into the match Torpedo's Clemens Mindelheim head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. As Clemens Mindelheim exited the field, Ortiq Muhamedov volunteered to be the new set pieces taker. 39 minutes into the game, Torpedo seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to passable (6). 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 73 percent of possession.

During the break, Torpedo's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid (7) organisation. 46 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Chad Thach came on for Chia Kwang Tse. After 46 minutes, Grilled felt secure enough to make a tactical change. Hwang Teck Fu and Gandhik Chitre assumed each others positions on the field. Grilled's Enrique Baena showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 60 minutes. Unfortunately, Jos Luiz Velho was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish. 65 minutes in, Torpedo appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only weak (4). Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 67 minutes, Grilled did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, Mohd Marzuki Khairul was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 0. The referee showed Grilled's Chad Thach the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 80 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Jos Luiz Velho off the field. Prokop Mottl took his place. The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 1 minute beyond the regular 90 minutes. The match ends 2 - 0. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 74 percent of the ball.

Grilled's best player was Mohd Marzuki Khairul. Manuel Vadal on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Torpedo player was without a doubt Gion Niemann. Abbos Abduazimov was a disappointment, however.
