Grilled used their mythical (17) ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the field. With 10 minutes of the match played, a comedy of errors by the home side gave the visitors a chance at the lead, but Hans-Jörgen Törnblom, after dashing down on goal from the left and finding himself with only the keeper to beat, sliced his shot horribly wide. A mistake by the home side's central defense after 12 minutes allowed Juan Ezaval to score for stars. The visitors have the lead, 0 - 1. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle instead. 22 minutes into the game, Aw Keng Chuan came close to leveling the score with a dangerous shot from the center of the area that went just over the bar. After 32 minutes, Lim An Keng rushed down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the 1 - 1 goal. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 56 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Kalki Parvathaneni gave Chia Kwang Tse a quick hug as he left the field. 46 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Chad Thach came on for Bilal Mohammad Harun. After 60 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Moey Xin Seng off. Teo Chuan Yong took his place. Chan Ze Han's fine footwork caused nothing but headaches for Hans-Jörgen Törnblom. The keeper wasn't fooled however, and confidently scooped up the ball. Lim An Keng gave Grilled the 2 - 1 lead, as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then placed the ball at the keeper's right post – what a clinical finish! A run up the right wing paid off for stars as Giorgio Accettullo hit a wicked shot past the keeper to tie the game. 2 - 2 after 82 minutes. After a fine move down the middle Gandhik Chitre nearly put the home side one up with 83 minutes played. His final touch escaped him though and the keeper smothered the ball. Grilled made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left Damian Hutter completely alone with keeper Hennerk Tiling, who made a spectacular block. With 85 minutes played, stars's Thomas Thomasson received a yellow card for challenging a play with his cleats first. Maybe Hans-Jörgen Törnblom should join the aquatics team instead. He went down dramatically after 86 minutes, crying out with agony as he fell. The referee was not impressed, though, and showed him a yellow for diving. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 1 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 2. The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. Speaking of stinking up the place, Paulino Trindade sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham. stars's top performer was clearly Saša Scoria. Good thing Hans-Jörgen Törnblom isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
