Nigma 8 - 1 Grilled
The 61305 spectators at
Black Hole were in for an afternoon of sunshine.
Guido Daimer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Ghiţă Drăghiciu and
Miguel Alexandre Mangas. The weather was sunny, which meant perfect conditions for technical players in both teams. However, it was also quite warm, which meant quick or physically strong players were drained faster and couldn't play their best game. The following players took the field for Nigma:
Srbić -
Knesebeck,
Levne,
Hajjar -
Hasar,
Feng Boon,
Lam,
Lee,
Pruzzi -

The teams had chosen different formations for the match. Home team TeamNigma went for 3-5-2 while Grilled Birds has decided to play a 2-5-3 lineup. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their titanic (15) level with that tactic. With 13 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
Vittorio Pruzzi flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. The visitors didn't give in and, after 21 minutes,
Paulino Trindade got through the home side's central line of defence, rolling in the equaliser to make it 1 - 1. Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 23 minutes, Nigma did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker,
Zach Lee was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 1. Nigma solidified their lead at the 35 minute mark, as
Maksym Vepric dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. It was a fine day for
Paulino Trindade on his wing, his cross pass to
Lim An Keng was especially delicate 37 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved.
Tom Winna increased the lead for Nigma to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! It was 4 - 1 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nigma, with 55 percent of the ball.
Chad Thach would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Chia Kwang Tse entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 46 minutes. With 73 minutes played, Nigma put themselves up 5 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
Vittorio Pruzzi, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Nigma scored another to make it 6 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
Lai Feng Boon after 74 minutes. After 75 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Moey Xin Seng off the field.
Bilal Mohammad Harun took his place.
Chan Ze Han was the new captain of Grilled - handed the armband by the departing player. After 78 minutes,
Lai Feng Boon took a hard knock between his legs. He needed a long breather but were eventually able to continue the game. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Chan Ze Han gave
Gandhik Chitre a quick hug as he left the field. As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
Bilal Mohammad Harun took over the role of being the Grilled captain. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Nigma to 7 - 1 as
Tom Winna finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 83 minutes played,
Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. 91 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
Solaiman Hajjar broke through, making the score 8 - 1 for Nigma. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
Lai Feng Boon got himself booked. The manager of Nigma was not happy. The match ends 8 - 1. Nigma enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
Nigma's best player was
Lai Feng Boon.
Vittorio Pruzzi turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Bilal Mohammad Harun.
Paulino Trindade on the other hand, had a terrible day.
