Grilled 5 - 2 fc.tower

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and The Cooking Pot saw a crowd turnout of 32006. Gerald Hesel was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Marc Ettenhuber and Eduard Ringenberg. Grilled fielded: Germanakos - Panigrahi, Webb - Baena, Thach, Keng Chuan, An Keng, Trindade - Ze Han, Chitre, Parvathaneni.

fc.tower's lineup was: Vuong - Seluker, Su Ming - Kian Ping, Cariolaro, How Wei, Long Keng, Omar - D'Amato, Lucas, Cascun.

As the teams spread out over the pitch, it became clear that they would both be using a 2-5-3 formation today. Grilled took the lead 11 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Chad Thach elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Chan Ze Han increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Aw Keng Chuan could have put Grilled up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 21 minutes. The counterattacks of fc.tower were deadly and 22 minutes into the game, Teo Kian Ping received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 2 - 1. With 28 minutes played, Aw Keng Chuan of Grilled fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Lim An Keng gave Chia Kwang Tse a quick hug as he left the field. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Kalki Parvathaneni reluctantly made way for Moey Xin Seng on the pitch. With 55 minutes played, Gandhik Chitre could have brought this one home for Grilled as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. After 65 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Gilbert Webb off the field. Bilal Mohammad Harun took his place. The home side's Bhavya Panigrahi curled a free kick home after 65 minutes, putting Grilled ahead 3 - 1. 3 - 2 came about as Enrique Baena tried to clear the ball, but made it an own goal instead, to the great displeasure of his keeper. With 78 minutes played, Grilled put themselves up 4 - 2 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to Gandhik Chitre, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Grilled increased the lead as Gandhik Chitre struck to make the score 5 - 2 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 5 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 65 percent of the ball.

Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. However, Gandhik Chitre made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating fc.tower player was without a doubt Martin Lucas. Jeremiah Vuong turned in a dismal performance, however.
