It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd that came out to the stadium today. It was a very hot day and some players suffered from this, especially those relying on tough physical play or a lot of fast runs. For the technical ones, on the other hand, this was ideal conditions. Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas FK Tetovo lined up in a 3-5-2. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their utopian (19) ability to great effect. 14 minutes into the game, Yiorgos Softis broke up a promising Grilled attack single-handedly, using just the right amount of physical pressure on the ball holder. Though it was beautiful soccer, the home crowd did not enjoy Ilirian Zane's goal after a run down the left with 28 minutes on the clock. Tetovo lead, 0 - 1. The away team's Gábor Sikesdi took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 31 minutes increasing Tetovo's lead to 0 - 2. Grilled's Moey Xin Seng was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The visitors' Gábor Sikesdi took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 35 minutes into the match. 0 - 3 for Tetovo. The 0 - 4 scoreline came about as Enrique Baena tried to clear the ball, but struck it wildly and made an own goal instead, to the great displeasure of his keeper and coach. Gábor Sikesdi's Road Runneresque speed was too much for Gilbert Webb, who could only look on as the Tetovo player blasted one home. 0 - 5. He's already scored two, and with the third, Gábor Sikesdi has a hattrick! It was obvious that Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle when they directed a break on the wing into the center of the park. After 42 minutes, Tetovo's Ilirian Zane burst through the central defense and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 6. Well, look at this! Cardi B is on the Enormotron in naught but giant sunglasses, red tassles, and a Millinocket Moose tank top. I've not seen anything like it before. 46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Kalki Parvathaneni gave Lim An Keng a quick hug as he left the field. After 46 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving José Luiz Velho off. Prokop Mottl took his place. The local team's free kick specialist Bhavya Panigrahi reduced the away team's lead to 1 - 6 with a cannonball in minute 47. After the goal, the coach was seen with a cigar between his teeth muttering Tetovo's Ðorđe Čanković received a ball slotted perfectly through the home side's central defense after 52 minutes, and chipped it past the helpless keeper to increase the lead to 1 - 7. The away fans won't regret traveling for this one! After 65 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Ðorđe Čanković who increased Tetovo's lead to 1 - 9. After 68 minutes Tetovo nearly put themselves up another goal from a penalty taken by Demetrio Busto, but the keeper made an unbelievable save. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal in minute 72. Demetrio Busto was overheard by some in the stands blaming either Grebulon or sunspots, depending on their individual loyalties. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Chia Kwang Tse came on for Bilal Mohammad Harun. As the match nears its end, the referee deemed it appropriate to add 3 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 1 - 9. Tetovo had the upper hand in possession, maintaining an impressive 58 percent possession of the ball.

Grilled's best player was Chan Ze Han. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Enrique Baena today. The most outstanding Tetovo player was without a doubt Thanush Dhimitri. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Ilirian Zane seemed to stumble all over the pitch.
