Moeinsingapore started the game in a 4-3-3 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Moeinsingapore clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could, taking advantage of their magical (18) level with that tactic. Grilled took a extra-terrestrial (16) creative approach on the field. Moeinsingapore's
Antti Tallgren tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. 27 minutes in, Moeinsingapore appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid (7). One of many good crosses from
Paulino Trindade on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by
Chan Ze Han, who scored for Grilled. 0 - 1
Chan Ze Han received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 35 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. 36 minutes in, Moeinsingapore's
Vincent Wurmbrand received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. Moeinsingapore showed their counterattack skill 38 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
Yang 'The Ox' Feng Da scoring uncontested for 1 - 2.
Antti Tallgren was just a finger's breadth away from an equaliser for Moeinsingapore with a strike from the left, but
Dimitris Germanakos managed to ward the shot off for a corner. 1 - 2 was the score after the first half. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Moeinsingapore had solid (7) organisation. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Paulino Trindade reluctantly made way for
Enrique Baena on the pitch. 69 minutes into the game, Moeinsingapore's
John Kennea surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to
Abhishek Gupta who easily found the back of the net, making the score 2 - 2. After 79 minutes,
Chua Chu Meng came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 3 - 2, giving Moeinsingapore the lead. Moeinsingapore were great at switching from defence to attack, and after 83 minutes,
Antti Tallgren swept through the middle on a counterattack, making the score 4 - 2.
Gilbert Webb was ever so close to scoring after an excellent corner was beautifully flicked on by
Bilal Mohammad Harun, but the ball bounced off the post to safety. After 85 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Teo Chuan Yong off the field.
Kalki Parvathaneni took his place.
Yang 'The Ox' Feng Da increased the lead for Moeinsingapore to 5 - 2, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
Lim An Keng went down after twisting his left ankle in minute 86, but was able to continue the match none the less. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Moeinsingapore's
Chua Chu Meng somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for
Yang 'The Ox' Feng Da, who struck for 6 - 2. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Yang 'The Ox' Feng Da. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Bilal Mohammad Harun gave
Prokop Mottl a quick hug as he left the field.
Antti Tallgren was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Moeinsingapore's defence 89 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 7 - 2. The referee announced 4 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 7 - 2. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
Yang 'The Ox' Feng Da performed admirably for Moeinsingapore.
Paco Pimentel on the other hand, had a terrible day. Grilled's best player was
Chan Ze Han.
Kalki Parvathaneni turned in a dismal performance, however.
