Grilled 3 - 3 PJD

Clouds darkened the skies at The Cooking Pot as 30949 spectators turned up for the match. Gerhard Schröttner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by William Riffe and Cucun Mustandar. The following players had been chosen by Grilled: Germanakos - Panigrahi, Webb - Trindade, An Keng, Keng Chuan, Khairul, Chuan Yong - Ze Han, Xin Seng, Mohammad Harun.

PJD's lineup was: Rabrenović - Shaw, Aguilar - Cainzos, Di Buono, Hartmann, MacGlinchey, Silverman - Takahashi, Grych, Abd El Hamid.

Both teams came out with a similar approach to the match, having chosen to start with a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their utopian (19) level with that tactic. 0 - 1 was the score with 3 minutes played, after Malachi Takahashi cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for PJD. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 15 minutes, Bilal Mohammad Harun made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. Chan Ze Han gave Grilled the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 2 - 1 The home team will be cursing Hilary Grych for weeks; he finished off a great pass from the left, knocking it past the keeper without a problem. The match was level at 2 - 2 after 31 minutes. Halftime score was 2 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 54 percent of the ball.

Grilled took the lead, 3 - 2, after a penalty 72 minutes into the match. Bhavya Panigrahi scored from the penalty spot. Hennes Silverman finished off a quick charge from the left of the field by chipping the ball just past the home side's keeper, making the score 3 - 3 74 minutes into the match. A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 77 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called PJD's Esteban Cainzos to one side and produced a red card for the player. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Moey Xin Seng reluctantly made way for José Luiz Velho on the pitch. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, Chan Ze Han took over the role of being the Grilled captain. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. Hilary Grych had a good try after 89 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. The match ends 3 - 3. Grilled had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Chan Ze Han performed admirably for Grilled. Paulino Trindade turned in a dismal performance, however. The most dominating PJD player was without a doubt Adam Abd El Hamid. Batrić Rabrenović was a disappointment, however.
