As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle, taking advantage of their mythical (17) level with that tactic.
Chia Kwang Tse had a good try after 10 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide.
Chia Kwang Tse of Grilled was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
Kurt Zacho of flops displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered
Chia Kwang Tse and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 1 - 0. flops solidified their lead at the 18 minute mark, as
Franco Robbi dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of flops to 3 - 0 as
Naim Öztan finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Cheers filled the stadium as
Jonathan Federico Rivas broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to flops. 4 - 0 was the score after the first half. flops enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.
As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Chia Kwang Tse reluctantly made way for
Lim An Keng on the pitch. After 56 minutes,
Franco Robbi put flops ahead 5 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Chad Thach went down after twisting his right ankle after 68 minutes, and had to leave the pitch.
Atang Mangoye tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. flops managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when
Budulai Bîstriţchi cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. 74 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a flops substitution.
Samuel Felix Schütte came on for
Hugo Henni. 82 minutes in, flops's
Jonathan Federico Rivas received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The coach of flops was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 83 minutes,
Haiko Ascher came on for
Laurin Étienne Zrost.
Haiko Ascher's speed was clear to see after 83 minutes, as he darted down the wing and released

Kurt Zacho gave the flops supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Atang Mangoye from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 87 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Teo Chuan Yong would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
