Given a free kick from an impossible angle, Grilled went for a play that loyal fans may recognize from training. A square ball surprised the defense and let Aw Keng Chuan slip through at goal. He hit it first time, making the score 3 - 2, 24 minutes into the game. Big paper red cards were being held up by the opposing supporters with 25 minutes on the clock after Chia Kwang Tse's mistimed tackle from behind. The referee only showed the Grilled player a yellow card though. Halftime score was 3 - 2. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 58 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Chia Kwang Tse gave Lim An Keng a quick hug as he left the field. The visitors wouldn't quit and after 52 minutes, Ersin Yumuk evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 3 - 3. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center. Some great play up the middle by Grilled led to a chance for Moey Xin Seng to get the go-ahead goal with 59 minutes played, but the shot hit the crossbar. It was a goal more likely to end up on SportsNation rather than SportsCenter, but the free kick in minute 63 by Bhavya Panigrahi somehow found its way past the keeper. Grilled takes the lead, 4 - 3! As the 75 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. After 89 minutes, juniors began to show their lack of experience and they threatened to wilt under the heavy pressure from their opposition. Grilled's Paulino Trindade tried to break through the middle repeatedly, but the visitors' defenders were just too alert. The match ends 4 - 4. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 56 percent possession in this half was spot on!

The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Teo Chuan Yong. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Aw Keng Chuan today. juniors's top performer was clearly Ersin Yumuk. Good thing Ye Paye Moe Kyaw isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance.
