A mistake by the home side's central defense after 10 minutes allowed Hardy Kliewer to score for Poli. The visitors have the lead, 0 - 1. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Poli, and they were successfully passing the ball from the wing into the middle at the behest of their coach. With the clock showing 46 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Chia Kwang Tse looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Lim An Keng, though he would have liked to continue. Poli's Hardy Kliewer was shown a yellow card after 51 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up coming through the center. The home club's fans got back into the match when Chu Xin Lee broke through the visitors' central defense and caught their keeper napping, making it 2 - 3. After 70 minutes of play, Aw Keng Chuan evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 3 - 3. The visiting Niek Adelman was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 71 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 3 - 4 was the score.
