The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when Toribio Azoca was unable to give the visitors the go-ahead goal after his attack from the left in minute 20. An opportunity to take the lead after 21 minutes was wasted as Malicieux's Juan Carlos Bedoya missed a penalty, firing wide of the mark. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. Making his way up the middle after 22 minutes, Chia Kwang Tse almost managed to sneak a goal past the visitors' keeper, but Jean-Marc Guedin was ready and blocked it to keep the score level. A mistake by the home side's central defense after 26 minutes allowed Baptiste Mullet to score for Malicieux. The visitors have the lead, 0 - 1. The home fans looked somber as they watched their team give up another goal, this one coming from their right as Inaxio Mendiondo put one through the keeper's legs. 0 - 2 after 31 minutes. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. As the 46 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Chia Kwang Tse reluctantly made way for Lim An Keng. Malicieux's Juan Carlos Bedoya made it through the home team's defense on the right hand side 48 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded net when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as Chu Xin Lee tried lifting the ball over keeper Jean-Marc Guedin. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Grilled's Aw Keng Chuan was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 68 minutes. After 70 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defense allowed Juan Carlos Bedoya to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. Malicieux's Juan Carlos Bedoya was shown a yellow card after 72 minutes for slicing down an opponent. The visitors' Baptiste Mullet took advantage of a mix-up between the home side's goalie and center backs 73 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Malicieux. With the clock showing 75 minutes, the fourth official held up the substitution board. Chad Thach looked to see that it was his number in red, so he made his way over to the sideline and swapped out for Paulino Trindade, though he would have liked to continue. 75 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Bilal Mohammad Harun gave Enrique Baena a quick hug as he left the field. Willy Stranden somehow managed to break free of his man on the left wing and only needed a relatively easy finish to bring Malicieux's lead up to 0 - 5. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 1 minutes of added time, they welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 5. Malicieux set the tempo, maintaining 61 percent of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Moey Xin Seng. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Enrique Baena seemed to stumble all over the pitch. Jean-Marc Guedin performed admirably for Malicieux. Speaking of stinking up the place, Johnny Butterini sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
