The ball was in the back of the home team's net yet again after 29 minutes, but this time the referee called the goal back because Chu Xin Lee had knocked a member of the opposing team to the ground while the play occurred down the middle of the field. The Grilled free kick 31 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But it was no mistake - Teo Chuan Yong seemingly came out of nowhere and had miles of space to control the ball and pick his spot. That's 0 - 3! vorwärts supporters found their voice 33 minutes in as good work down the right got the ball to Peter Kobleder who reduced the visitors' lead to 1 - 3. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 3. Grilled set the tempo, maintaining 56 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the match, the referee signaled for a Grilled substitution. Paulino Trindade came on for Chia Kwang Tse. Given a free kick from a ways out after 58 minutes, Grilled sent an arching ball into the penalty box. It was headed clear, but Chad Thach was waiting just outside the area and fired it home to make it 1 - 4. The visitors added to their lead 73 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi slid just past the home keeper. 1 - 5. The home crowd found their second wind when Peter Kobleder scored with a header after an industrious attack from the right, making the score 2 to 5. Bhavya Panigrahi could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the field, waving Gilbert Webb off. Dante Tran took his place. It was announced by the fourth official that he estimated stoppage time to be around 2 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! The match ends 2 - 5. Looks like Nate Silver was right again - his prediction that Grilled would have 54 percent possession in this half was spot on!

Most important vorwärts player was Rodrigue Bridonneau. You can tell it was nickel beer night yesterday at the local bar because Marko Zebić seemed to stumble all over the pitch. The most outstanding Grilled player was without a doubt Moey Xin Seng. Speaking of stinking up the place, Dante Tran sure smelled like the bottom of Batman's shoe after a night of crimefighting in Gotham.
