Blacksail 1 - 4 Grilled
Dark skies made the crowd of 55137 at
Blacksail Team Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.

Frdric Sebastiani and
Adrin Berasategui. Blacksail's starters:

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 3-5-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 2-5-3. The wings were the focus of most of Blacksail's attacks on this day, taking advantage of their magical (18) level with that tactic. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+2) (22) level with that tactic. After 10 minutes,
Chad Thach suffered a slight injury to his left calf muscle. However, it was not enough to stop him from continuing the game. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 11 minutes allowed
Chan Ze Han to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. The crowd roared in delight as
Kurt-Werner Meisner finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for Blacksail 31 minutes into the match. 1 - 1. The visiting
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 32 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. The visitors'
Moey Xin Seng took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 33 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Grilled. After 34 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud who increased Grilled's lead to 1 - 4. 1 - 4 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
Bhavya Panigrahi could have added one to the visitors' lead if his free kick had gone just a little lower. Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 63 minutes into the match.
Bhavya Panigrahi surely wishes he could do that free kick over again. Grilled's
Moey Xin Seng made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 68 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. With 69 minutes played,
Douglas Carapaica nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. 89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Lim An Keng came on for
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud.
Chan Ze Han would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
Chia Kwang Tse entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 2 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 1 - 4. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.
Vadim Kushakov performed admirably for Blacksail. On the other hand,
Jan Markiewicz's play was disheartening. Most important Grilled player was
Teo Chuan Yong.
Chad Thach was a disappointment, however.
