As the teams prepared to start the match, they both lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) (24) level with that tactic. Grilled took the lead 16 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Chu Xin Lee elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni was shown a yellow card after 21 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Darius Ionescu was in no condition to play on. He left the field limping after 22 minutes, with his left thigh bandaged. Samuel Felix Schütte tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. Grilled solidified their lead at the 24 minute mark, as Douglas Carapaica dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0. Carmelo Virtuani of flops received a yellow card after 25 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 26 minutes, Grilled's Kalki Parvathaneni swiftly ran past Vito Stefančič and nutmegged the keeper! 3 - 0. After 34 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and Douglas Carapaica gave the Grilled supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. It was a fine day for Kalki Parvathaneni on his wing, his cross pass to Bilal Mohammad Harun was especially delicate 35 minutes into the game, but the keeper saved. Bhavya Panigrahi almost put Grilled ahead another goal when he curled a free kick over the defensive wall and almost into the net, but the visitors' keeper got there just in time to knock it wide. The cannonball from 35 metres by Kalki Parvathaneni of Grilled was an impressive sight, but didn't make it into the net. The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 67 percent of the time.

Laurin Étienne Zrost would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Haiko Ascher entered the game for flops as the match clock showed 59 minutes. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Chu Xin Lee reluctantly made way for Shekar Kannan on the pitch. Grilled had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Grilled's Bhavya Panigrahi increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. 79 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as Salah Kamel broke through, making the score 6 - 0 for Grilled. Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. 85 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. José Luiz Velho came on for Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Bilal Mohammad Harun gave Radovan Jaška a quick hug as he left the field. After 89 minutes, the flops coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving Vito Stefančič off the field. Margabandhu Bendre took his place. It was announced by the referee that he estimated stoppage time to be around 3 minutes. This meant there could still be an extra attack or two left in the match! Salah Kamel fired a shot from distance after 90 minutes, but the long shot couldn't find the net for Grilled. After 91 minutes Shekar Kannan made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to José Luiz Velho who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 7 - 0. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Kalki Parvathaneni squirmed through their central defence after 91 minutes, increasing the lead to 8 - 0. The match ends 8 - 0. Grilled had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

Most important Grilled player was Chan Ze Han. However, Radovan Jaška made a disastrous appearance. flops's best player was Igor Batin. Margabandhu Bendre was a disappointment, however.
