Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas SingaStyle lined up in a 3-5-2 formation. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+4) (24) level with that tactic. Grilled's
Heng Dong Chu placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but
Vikram Mudaliar couldn't finish. SingaStyle took the lead 15 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle.
Roman Mullens was the scorer.
Moey Xin Seng of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
Bhavya Panigrahi. With 29 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
Neo Ting Feng put the ball away for 1 - 2.
Neo Ting Feng went down after twisting his left ankle after 31 minutes, and had to leave the pitch. The player that took his place was
Tomas Cosio. Grilled's
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud almost tied things up with 33 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. After 38 minutes, Grilled's
Vikram Mudaliar swiftly ran past
Petronel Paneş and nutmegged the keeper! 2 - 2. Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 39 minutes into the match, and
Umberto Benveniste wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 2 - 3 for the visitors. Grilled's
Moey Xin Seng made an attempt at equalising 39 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. Coming in from the right, SingaStyle had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 40 minutes, but
Tomas Cosio's attempt to finish was easily stopped. 2 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to SingaStyle, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
Erwin Küng received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 71 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 4. The SingaStyle fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Moey Xin Seng from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! The home crowd was given a certain amount of consolation when
Moey Xin Seng scored after a brilliant midfield combination through the centre, reducing the lead to 3 - 4. After 76 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
Procopio Dagnino to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 3 - 5. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Douglas Carapaica reluctantly made way for
Sølve Lunde on the pitch. Grilled's fans were urging them forward as they tried to get back into the game, and their vocal support was rewarded 83 minutes into the match as
Moey Xin Seng ran onto a beautiful ball played through the visitors' defence and slotted it past the keeper to reduce the deficit. 4 - 5. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
Moey Xin Seng. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Grilled's
Bilal Mohammad Harun came in from the right after 85 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 5 - 5. Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi was shown a yellow card after 86 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
89 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution.
Chu Xin Lee came on for
Salah Kamel. After 89 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud off the field.
José Luiz Velho took his place. The referee announced 4 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 5 - 5. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by SingaStyle, with 51 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt
Chan Ze Han.
Chu Xin Lee on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important SingaStyle player was
Umberto Benveniste.
Sieb Kempers turned in a dismal performance, however.
