Haha started the game in a 5-3-2 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Haha were relying on their divine (20) ability to counter-attack. Grilled tried to focus their attacks down the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+5) (25) level with that tactic. Priding himself in being an active coach, the Haha manager gave new instructions to his players after 1 minutes. See how
Aw Tian Jin has had to abandon his regular position to follow
Chan Ze Han around? That leaves a big gap for his mates to cover! Haha's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 15 minutes gone, but
Félix Valdayo's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Haha's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing
Miguel Parguiña to score easily from the right flank for 1 - 0. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
Sorin-Dan Corbean from Haha a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! 35 minutes into the game, Haha's
Isaac An took a seemingly painful knock to his chest. However, he gritted his teeth and decided to play on. The counterattacks of Haha were deadly and 38 minutes into the game,
Giuseppe Ghiringhelli received a nice pass from the right flank, making it 2 - 0. The visitors replied 39 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 2 - 1, as
Vikram Mudaliar dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 1. Grilled claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 74 percent.
Juan Martín Barboza was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but
Félix Valdayo seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Grilled, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. With 53 minutes played, the visitors could have drawn level after
Vikram Mudaliar came through the middle, but his shot went wide.
Sorin-Dan Corbean was in no condition to play on. 58 minutes into the game he left the field on a stretcher, with his right thigh bandaged, and crying out in pain. The replacement for the injured player was
Előd Scsitovics. Haha's
Giuseppe Ghiringhelli excelled in some fine tricks that completely confused
Moey Xin Seng - and the finish was no less spectacular - 3 - 1! After 76 minutes, the defensive line of Haha created a counterattack through the middle that gave
Fatin Belaîdi a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 80 minutes, the Haha coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving
Félix Valdayo off the field.
Philippe Heuze took his place. Haha had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 83 minutes, but
Giuseppe Ghiringhelli's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. The referee showed Haha's
Giuseppe Ghiringhelli the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Douglas Carapaica went down after twisting his right ankle in minute 84, but was able to continue the match none the less. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution.
Heng Dong Chu reluctantly made way for
Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. As the match nears its end, the referee has deemed it appropriate to add 4 minutes as stoppage time. The match ends 3 - 1. Grilled had most of the ball, with 74 percent of possession.
Most important Haha player was
Giuseppe Ghiringhelli.
Aw Tian Jin turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's best player was
Vikram Mudaliar.
Chan Ze Han was a disappointment, however.
