Toraja 0 - 5 Grilled

Clear skies welcomed the 12000 spectators who had made their way to Lapangan Bakti. Georgi Voykov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Folker Pirrung and Sylvester Rothenfluh. The following players had been chosen by Toraja: Sugiyama - Eng, Jamaluddin Yunus, Gopalakrishnan, Yau Nie, Kumar - Syarafuddin, Keong Jin, Zhu, Kim Ping - Liang Da.

The following players took the field for Grilled: Salmiņš - Panigrahi, Webb - Chuan Yong, Carapaica, Ze Han, Lunde, Parvathaneni - Mazhud, Velho, Xin Lee.

PS Toraja Muda fielded a 5-4-1 lineup. For Grilled Birds, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Grilled's Chu Xin Lee managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 12 minutes. 0 - 1. 18 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 2 as Chan Ze Han finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. Chirag Gopalakrishnan slowly got up on his feet, clutching his right thigh, but eventually signalled that he was ready to play on. After 33 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed Kalki Parvathaneni to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. Had it not been for one of the home defenders, Abd Hadi Taib Mazhud would have put Grilled up another goal 35 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing. Grilled's Douglas Carapaica's long shot really ought to have found the net 38 minutes into the match, but it fell just wide of the target. It was 0 - 3 at the break. Grilled had most of the ball, with 78 percent of possession.

After 60 minutes of game time, Sølve Lunde had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but Alexander Sugiyama was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. The visitors' Kalki Parvathaneni took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 71 minutes into the match. 0 - 4 for Grilled. With the scoreboard showing that 73 minutes had been played, Grilled nearly put themselves up another goal after Chu Xin Lee came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from Bhavya Panigrahi after 79 minutes, and prevented Grilled from going up another goal. 80 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. José Luiz Velho gave 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) a quick hug as he left the field. 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 85 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Gilbert Webb reluctantly made way for 悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) on the pitch. The referee announced 2 minutes of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. The match ends 0 - 5. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 79 percent of possession.

Most important Toraja player was Ali Jamaluddin Yunus. Aw Kim Ping was a disappointment, however. Grilled's best player was Chu Xin Lee. On the other hand, 冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya)'s play was disheartening.
