Grilled Birds started the game in a 2-5-3 formation, whereas Wombat Combat F.C. lined up in a 3-5-2. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, using their divine (+6) (26) ability to great effect. Ivan Stoyanov stayed close to Chan Ze Han, trying to obstruct his game and the gambit has paid off for WomCom FC. WomCom FC had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 22 minutes in when Erwin Tanjung found himself alone with Jānis Salmiņš who managed a block. Grilled's Chan Ze Han knew what he was doing as he waited patiently for the right opportunity. Finally he hit it at the perfect moment, but his shot was deftly blocked by the keeper. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 31 minutes, WomCom FC tried a variation that they had practiced in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper, however, the defense were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. Halftime score was 0 - 0. 61 minutes into the game Sergio Vicioso could see that the opposing goalie was out of position and tried an unexpected chip that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to Erwin Tanjung who failed to hit the target. Ivan Stoyanov let loose a good shot after 63 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 68 minutes into the match left WomCom FC's Erwin Tanjung completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors. 70 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Moey Xin Seng gave Vikram Mudaliar a quick hug as he left the field. Chan Ze Han was handed the Grilled captain's armband. As the 80 minute mark approached, the Grilled manager decided it was time for a substitution. Douglas Carapaica reluctantly made way for Gilbert Webb. The match ends 0 - 1. Possession of the ball was split evenly between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

Most important Grilled player was Vikram Mudaliar. Good thing Chan Ze Han isn't a horse, because he'd surely be sent to the glue factory after that performance. Erwin Tanjung performed admirably for WomCom FC. Even six year old fans were wincing at the poor play by Ivan Stoyanov today.
