amiens_sc_18 0 - 8 Grilled
Dark skies made the crowd of 4622 at
La Tour Perret a little nervous, but the rain held off.

amiens_sc_18 entered the field in a 3-4-3 formation. The visitors, Grilled Birds, chose to start the game with a 2-5-3 lineup.
Sølve Lunde of Grilled seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
Bhavya Panigrahi. After 20 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) a chance to increase the lead for Grilled, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
Bernie Egan received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 37 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 3. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
Kalki Parvathaneni of Grilled was able to make an impressive rush past the sluggish
Jaime Gamboa, which resulted in a goal making the score 0 - 4. After the ball was lifted in from the left,
冬馬 (Toma) 田宮 (Tamiya) was on his own in the home side's penalty area and should have scored after 39 minutes, but missed, probably due to lack of concentration.
Gilbert Webb was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Grilled's
Kalki Parvathaneni managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 5
Bernie Egan came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over
Tihomir Lonzar but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. The referee showed Grilled's
Bhavya Panigrahi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Having taken a hard knock between his legs,
Andy Nyembo limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, with 42 minutes on the clock, could this prove costly for his team? The player that took his place was
Moïse Mputshila. After 43 minutes, Grilled's
Bernie Egan burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 6. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 62 percent of possession.
46 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
Manuel Vadalà gave
Cameron Law a quick hug as he left the field. 69 minutes into the game, Grilled worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. After 71 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
Prokop Mottl who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 7. The visitors'
José Luiz Velho took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 73 minutes into the match. 0 - 8 for Grilled. Despite hurting his right foot at the 74 minute mark,
José Luiz Velho decided to keep playing.
Bhavya Panigrahi would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita) entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 89 minutes. With
Bhavya Panigrahi no longer on the pitch,
Gilbert Webb took over free kick duty. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 4 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 0 - 8. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 62 percent of the ball.
The most dominating amiens_sc_18 player was without a doubt
Christian Créteur.
Tihomir Lonzar was a disappointment, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly
Bernie Egan. On the other hand,
悠太 (Yuta) 中北 (Nakakita)'s play was disheartening.
