Ramseille 0 - 4 Grilled

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 55396 at HighVolliard Park today. Nicola Belcredi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Humbert 'was für ein' Humbug and Cino Argento. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Jurong derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. Ramseille fielded: Buffon - Ramberg, Lõhmus, Abdul Halim, Szczypkowski, Bačnar - Sonino, Esinay, Robert, Reeperbahn - Lamm.

Grilled's lineup was: Salmiņš - Lunde, Jeftić - 敬龙 (Jinglong), Xin Lee, Mohammad Harun, ter Berg, Dong Chu - Mudaliar, Ze Han, Xin Seng.

Ramseille Volliard FC started the game in a 5-4-1 formation, whereas Grilled Birds lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Ramseille on this day, taking advantage of their divine (20) level with that tactic. Grilled seemed to prefer attacking in the middle, taking advantage of their divine (+7) (27) level with that tactic. After 2 minutes, Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. It was obvious that team Grilled had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings. After 3 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Chu Xin Lee who increased Grilled's lead to 0 - 2. Bilal Mohammad Harun could have put his team up another goal 9 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. The home crowd cheered when, after 14 minutes, Mateja Jeftić's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. With 15 minutes gone, Leopold Lõhmus suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Ramseille caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring. It was 0 - 2 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 63 percent of the ball.

With 70 minutes played, Moey Xin Seng nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. Murathan Esinay's speed was almost enough to give Ramseille a goal after 74 minutes, but his nice pass to Hugo Lamm was not taken care of properly. Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 77 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 78 minutes, following yet another great corner, Vikram Mudaliar's flick on at the near post reached Bilal Mohammad Harun, who was just wide with his snapshot - the ball went out for a goal kick. Sølve Lunde would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Gilbert Webb entered the game for Grilled as the match clock showed 80 minutes. Chan Ze Han of Grilled took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 81 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3. Grilled came close to extending their lead as Vikram Mudaliar delivered a low effort on goal from the right after 82 minutes, but the angle was too narrow and the shot went harmlessly into the side netting. 89 minutes into the game, Grilled wanted to bring some new energy to their game. Vikram Mudaliar gave Prokop Mottl a quick hug as he left the field. As the 89 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Bilal Mohammad Harun reluctantly made way for Teo Chuan Yong on the pitch. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. Chan Ze Han received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 89 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The Grilled fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. The match ends 0 - 4. Grilled enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

Ramseille's best player was Giancarlo Buffon. Che Zaim Abdul Halim on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Grilled player was without a doubt Chan Ze Han. On the other hand, Gilbert Webb's play was disheartening.
