Grilled clearly preferred using their divine (+7) (27) ability to attack in the middle. Football preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance, taking advantage of their divine (20) level with that tactic. Many thought Teo Chuan Yong ought to have been awarded a penalty 4 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around Dennis Koenigsegg after a determined run through the middle. After a fine move down the middle Chan Ze Han nearly gave the home side a goal after 28 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide. 29 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Grilled to take the lead after a good cross from the right found Chan Ze Han alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. After 30 minutes, Football were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. Artur Forestier did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Bonifacy Fiks held up a Football attack after 36 minutes, waited until Gunārs Dravenieks was in shooting position, and then elegantly set him up. Gunārs Dravenieks didn't disappoint his team mates, and from a distance he curled the ball with precision to the right of the keeper making it 0 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Bhavya Panigrahi from Grilled a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 40 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Kliton Kašnar limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, managing only 40 minutes for his team this day. Moritz Kulmer had already been warming up, and came on for Kliton Kašnar. 0 - 1 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Grilled, who controlled the ball 56 percent of the time.

Grilled were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Some fine passing in the middle of the pitch, carving open the away defence, should have led to a goal for Grilled, but Teo Chuan Yong's shot went over the bar. Grilled's Vikram Mudaliar made an attempt at equalising 59 minutes into the match, coming in from the right, but the ball hit the post and the defence easily cleared the rebound. After 60 minutes, the Grilled coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving 吴 (Wu) 敬龙 (Jinglong) off the field. Kalle ter Berg took his place. After 63 minutes, Bilal Mohammad Harun made a dash down the middle past the away team's defenders to score the goal that made it 1 - 1. Grilled's Chan Ze Han tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders. Football succeeded with their tactics after 66 minutes faking a cross into the penalty area, but instead passing a short side pass back to Artur Forestier who met the ball directly with his outstretched foot. The hard long shot touched the keeper's finger tips, but it wasn't enough to stop it from going in. 1 - 2. As the 70 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. Mateja Jeftić reluctantly made way for Sølve Lunde on the pitch. Mateja Jeftić was coming off, and had placed his last free kick for the day. That meant that Bhavya Panigrahi got the chance to showcase his dead ball skills. Grilled players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. After 79 minutes of play, Kalle ter Berg evened things up for Grilled with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Grilled substitution. Chan Ze Han performed admirably for Grilled. Bhavya Panigrahi was a disappointment, however. Most important Football player was Dennis Koenigsegg. However, Moritz Kulmer made a disastrous appearance.
